Hi all
I was wondering if anyone has ever tried, or can tell me if you can or can not, install electric windows in a Spitfire? I would also like to change all the
locks to something like the barrel locks used on new Fords and perhaps have central locking which works with conjunction with the alarm fob. any ideas?

For what its worth, I once fitted electric windows to a GT6 Mk3 (AOL 343K-are you still out there?) using a Smiths Servoglide system which utilised the
existing hand winder mechanism with a special motor. It was quite successful but I doubt if the system is still available. Electric window and lock
conversions are available for the TR7 and these may be adaptable for the Spitfire. I would have thought that having the GT6 quarter light would be a
distinct advantage if you do electrify.
