      I'm not sure I've ever seen 2 Spitfires side by side with exactly the same seatbelts, and you probably shouldn't.
      
      When the Mk IV came off the line, the stock belt was a fixed 3-point thing, or one of those new fangled inertia reel belts (fitted by the dealer?) if you paid extra.
      
      Chances are you have an after market one fitted already, and the fact that the new one isn't exactly the same is no real surprise.
      
      Looking at the parts you have there, you will probably want to mount the angle piece to the floor of the car - using the short leg - then attach the buckle to the bracket. Remember to try and align things in their most forward positions - you don't want to crash and have all the belts effect lost by the brackets rotating to the front!
      
      Don't try mixing and matching belts and buckles - even if it looks like it fits, you don't want to discover it doesn't fit properly is your head slams into the windsheld!
