Hello there,
I've just recieved my aldon Ignitor II module, which I plan to fit to my spit 1500 with a lucas sport coil (bypassing the ballast resistor of course).
However, on the aldon instructions, it warns in great big letters, 'do not use with solid cored ignition leads'.
Anyone know what is meant by this and, if so, how can I tell what I've got on my car?
Other than that, the instructions seemed pretty straightforward, does anybody who has fitted this before have any hints/tips I should know about?
thanks
Grant

Hello
solid core ignition leads are the old type leads, which have a single (solid) core of copper within a plastic sheath, these are naturally less flexible
than the modern ones (silicone) which usually say silicone on them anyway, i have an aldon ignitor on my herald and would advise you to just by a new
set anyway if youve spent all that money on the ignitor it seams a shame to cut corners for the sake of a tenner or so.
cheers
