Check out electronic ignition post i recently put on the GT6 board.I put the fast road ones on my Vitesse along with the Aldon ignition and coil,the
difference is amazing,wether the magnecor leads on thier own would make a difference i don't know but the package together is excellent.
Whilst talking about electronic ignition,with the Aldon system and magnecor leads can i can open the plug gaps due to the better spark?And to what gap could they be set,anyone?

Cheers Adrian, I'll have a look at that post in a minute. I've got aldon ignition, Lucas sports coil (non-ballasted) and tried several different ranges of spark plugs. Through trial and error, I re-set my plug gaps finally to .32 thou (think I've said that right!!
) instead of the standard setting of .25 thou and the car runs fine
at that setting! Actually, here's a point worth remembering!! I bought one of those Gunson spark testers and tried it out. The first time I had the
engine turned over (and I had the spark tester set at pretty much its widest angle), I felt like I'd been kicked by an elephant!! Lesson learnt - I
now hold the bloody things with a good pair of insulated pliers!! Don't be fooled by those neat little thumb grips on the tester that shout out
"Hold me here!!"
Oh and a final observation. I filled the car up today and worked out my fuel consumption for the Cadwell trip, there and back. 42.6 miles to the gallon!!! I normally average 30 odd miles to the gallon during the week!! Methinks it had something to do with the fact that I couldn't do any hard accelerating at the weekend!!
