Good morning all.
I've just fitted a new Super Gold 6v performance coil and sillicone leads to the Spit ('78 1500) I took a digi-photo of the coil and it's connections
before I started. I fitted new crimps to the leads which connect to the coil to make the connections better, put it all back together, and NOTHING!!!
When I turn the ignition key there is no sound at all?
So....I refitted the original coil......nothing?
I have obviously ommited something? but what, I have no idea. I thought I'd beat the thing today by taking the photo before I started?!?
Can you help? We are Spitless, on a SATURDAY!!!
regards,

Well the obvious thing when fitting new stuff which doesn't work is to put the old stuff back on and then work out which bit isn't working by a process
of elimination.
However the parts you have replaced should not affect the starter motor etc.
I suspect that in fitting the coil you may have disturbed one of the connections on the solenoid.

Bang on the nail Doug!
Just checked everything again, and with the help of a more knowledgable friend, I'd put one of the connectors back on the solenoid in the wrong
place!! I'll learn.
All is fine now, thanks for your help. Also nice to see another Inca 78 user on the board.
Cheers.
