HELP! my spitfire keeps over heats, I have fitted new themostat, new radiator cap, reverst flushed radiator (full size) heater and engine, Also the heater
goes cold just be it boils over, anyone any ideas.
The timing and carb setting are all ok

could be your water pump isn't working...
3 nuts and you can drop it out,... just to check it...

I think you may have an airlock in the heater... when the coolant gets hot the airlock becomes steam and this pushes the water out of the heater so it
goes cold this could be compromising the flow of coolant somewhere else and then stop the coolant flowing somewhere important... and whooosh!
Drain the coolant and refill it properly (remember the drain tap in the block)... you'll have to do this to check your water pump anyway.
