Caution dodgy diagram ahead
Ok to try and cut a long story short
Since I bought my spitfire about 18 months ago it ran cold the temp gauge rarely left the c icon and all seamed to be good. About a month ago the temp rose
really high and then went back down again to about mid way. And after the initial shock all was well if slightly hotter. I have been told that the
thermostat may have been stuck open and then closed from some reason
Today I decided to give my cooling system the once over. So I changed the thermostat and the coolant, started it up and all was well until I noticed a
small amount of steam coming from the far end of the engine on closer inspection it appears that coolant is leaking out from the place indicated on the
diagram below. I could be wrong because its really difficult to see. Looking at the diagram is it possible that this is leaking, how much of a pain and how
expensive is it to fix oh and what is it
Cheers
