Having just bought a shiney new oil cooler for my 1500, I'm trying to decide the best place to attach the small rad. The obvious place seems to be below
the main rad, but seems a bit exposed. Anyone got any suggestions.
Thanks

mine is situated below the rad just behind the steering rack mount and I have no problems. The other place may be in front of the rad on top but will
then restrict the air flow through the lower half of the radiator. Also position is going to depend on the length of your pipe work.

Mine's in front of the rad (as far as it will go). No noticeable problems with water cooling.

Mine also,
The metal brackets are bolted onto the top surface of the U bracket holding the rad, the cooler fitted in front and hanging down but as it
doesnt extend below the chassis rails it's not that exposed.
You may find that the length and fittings on the connecting pipes dicatate where abouts the exact finishing fit is, to prevent chafing etc.
Oh and make sure you do them up very tight as it doesn't take long to pump hot oil out on ther motorway!!

Thanks for the replys, As there were no instructions/suggestions as to where it should be fitted with the kit, its ideal to get other
peoples ideas.
Got it fitted this afternoon, its sat in front of the rad sitting upright, entry holes at the bottom and looks pretty good. (not a very
good quality pic, its from a camera phone)
Thanks once again for the suggestions
