Hi again,
Has anyone out there used a Rad from a more modern car that is virtually a straight swap for the origonal item and can be easily sourced from a scrap
yard?
Any help would be much appreciated, if my wallet can take the strain I should be on the road in a couple of weeks after 2 years!!

I've just been looking at the website for Spitfire and GT6 Magazine (An american publication) and they have a whole page of alternatives for parts on
the cars.
In amongst them was that the rad from a Peugeot 205 (aluminium core and full width apparently) will fit in with simplke to make new brackets in place
of the U frame. It also says that it's a good idea to use the thermostat housing top cover from a vitesse as it gives a better pipe run past the
alternator.
Cannot remember the site address but it was the first result out in Google when searching on 'Triumph Spitfire'
yours

Allegedly one out of a Pug fits... Josh has one in his.
One out of a Ford Fiesta fits but I am not entirely sure on the exact model - visit the scrappy and look for one with the right ins and outs... or
visit the Ford parts place and ask nicely....
