I have a 1979 Spitfire 1500 with a noisy viscous fan coupling, there is small movement between the waterpump pulley and the coupling itsself resulting in
considerable vibration and noise. I know the viscous coupling is prone to failure but am wondering if fitting a new tolerence ring will cure the problem. I
don't particularly want to go to the expense of fitting a Kenlowe at this stage. Any advice appreciated...

Do these engines really need a viscous fan?
Andy at Sports Car Supplies Newcastle does a very reasonable conversion to a normal fan.
