Currently in the process of fitting a new hood, during which time I'm taking the frame down to bare metal and respraying it. In addition the poppers on the
car body are mullered- so they need replaced.
A few basic questions- I need
1) a suitable glue for fixing the new (vinyl) hood to the front of the frame- any suggestions what, and where to get it?
2) new poppers for the body and hood- no idea where to get them from
3) a few small rivet-like things to fit the plastic bits to the side of the frame, and the front rail to the main frame itself- also unsure where to get
them from (had to drill the old ones out)

Poppers for the hood, Halfords camping section. much cheaper than auto suppliers, and they do the tool for the soft top side.

1. I used Evostick Timebond from B & Q, worked ok.
2. Has your hood got plastic or metal poppers? If plastic then you should put plastic 'dots' on the car which are available from the usual Triumph
suppliers eg Canleys. If metal then the Halfords ones I expect will be fine.
3. Think they're standard rivets - B&Q Halfords etc. You may want to use washers for the plastic side bits. You'll need a rivet gun with a thin
nose for the rivets on the front rail (or use a stack of tiny washers which then fly all over the floor!)
