Here's one of those annoying little questions that bug me.
On a Spit. Mk IV/1500 soft top, should the windscreen latch handles be turned to the middle of the car (so they leave two little impressions in the line of
the roof), or swapped sides and turned to the edges of the car (where they rattle agains the (otherwise pointless) metal 'pockets' on the header rail.
Our survey says...?

Hmmm - mine have always been turned to the middle of the car but that's how they were when I bought the car years ago!!

Hi Mark
My MkiV's had not been touched by it's previous owner when I got it in 1981. The handles were in the closed position then, the handles tucked neatly
(and quietly) inside the header rail, so this is definitely the way it was intended they should be.

Definately towards the middle. Have you got yours upside down as mine don't leave any impressions in the roof?
