Hi Phil
Coincidentally this link came through on the NASS list the other day and should give you some pointers.

When I first got Baby Blue she'd had her hardtop on since her factory days. It had been removed by the 'delightful previous owner' who'd bought her,
titivated her with a ton of filler and a gallon of paint, then sold her to the unsuspecting idiot (me!) who fell in love with her. (PS, hopefully you
have got a Mk3 frame as I can confirm, from experience, that a MkIV one isn't right for it - note previous comment about 'DPO' and 'unsuspecting
idiot'.)
There's also the story about my sister-in-law who had a 1500 for several years, but didn't realise - and took much persuading afterwards - that she had
actually had a convertible under that roof that was fitted to it!
I'd love to have some more information about your Spitfire - with an IVR. Great to hear of such an original car. I should also be able to help a little
more with the soft top if you'd like to give me a ring - details in the Courier.
