Does anyone know whether there is any difference between mk2 and mk3 tonneau covers? Are they the same pattern and if so are the press studs in the same
place?

can't help with your specific query, but as a general point you cannot rely on press studs being in the same place even when comparing like with
like.
The press studs were fitted by humans and so there are variations even on some models built in the same week.
Generally if you buy a new tonneau or hood it is supplied without the studs fitted so you can match them up to your car. Buying a second hand
tonneau might mean that you have to fit a few extra poppers.
