Have just completed repairs to hood frame and a new vinyl hood to fit. The fitting instructions supplied consist of 3 short paragraphs.
ANY advice will be welcome. Or is it better left to the professionals?

I fitted a new hood a few months ago and although its a bit of a pain it is quite straight forward. My advice is to get a friend or two to help as it
requires more hands than the standard human is equipped with. I have no idea whether the method I used was approved or not, but the hood doesn't leak
and it hasn't flown off yet.
I glued and pop riveted the metal strip into the rear edge of the hood and then fitted that first so we could stretch the hood forward to get a tight
fit. The only other thing I did was to put a fan heater into the car to get the hood supple and stretchy. If you want any other help then let me
know!
Cheers,
Ben

Cheers Ben
New hood now fitted - with a little help from my friends (and some paid for assistance from a local company that I discovered by chance who renovate
ALL makes and types of classic cars). All I need now is some very heavy rain to test its leakability.
One useful point - it is essential to get the hood absolutely central and to check that the door glass fits correctly inside the "gutters" before
gluing and riveting.
