I have a spit 1500 which i am trying to get in good condition! 1 of the major jobs i need to do is to get some new or refurbish the seats! i have shopped
around and i am amazed at how much it would cost me to repad and recover my old seats! Is there any way i can do this job cheaper than &163;320!! i
would like to have old style seats but at a budget of &163;200ish which to me sounds much better! I like the bucket seats that the club (TSSC) sell
but i dont know if they are worth the money if they are i would get them and ignore the budget.! can someone point me in the right direction!!!

If the seat frames are in good nick then James Paddock do the foams and covers in original materials cost approx &163;200 the pair if you do it
yourself. Did mine on a 1500 spit in houndstooth about 20,000 miles ago and still look good.

I heard that some people have made up their own foams by buying large pices of foam and cutting them to shape using a bread Knife. That way you
only have to buy the covers and can do it for about &163;100-, I'm sure the proper foams make the job easier and are more likely to give
top results though so it depends how tight your budget is.

Has anyone tried "Classic British Sportscar Trim" who advertise in the back of the Courier: rebuilt exchange seats for &163;250 a
pair or &163;395 a pair for leather? Are they any good?

Good idea!! might try them and see how much it will cost to get the seats delivered!! it could work out cheaper than doing it my self!!

In the same vein, There are 2 shops local to me (Glasgow), who will custom cut foam to your spec. Unfortumately I have no idea of cost since i
didn't have patterns, or the old cushions with me when I asked, and since then I've been pre-occupied sorting out the structural stuff.
May be worth researching further?

Car shows are a good source for the kits - might be someone at Stafford if you're going.
