Hi everyone,
I am looking for some advice with regard to tyres - currently my Mk3 Spit runs on 5.5J GT6 rims and the tyres are Pireelli P1000 R13 165/80's - as all 4
tyres need replacing (after about 30-35k miles) I was considering moving down a profile to R13 165/70's . I would really appreciate others opinions on
this.
Many thanks

I've been running my Spitfire (1500) for twenty years now, and I reckon the best compromise for road use is 165/70/13.
155/13s are a bit skinny for enthusiastic driving and 175/70/13s give very heavy steering and are marginal in the wet.
