Wolfrace wheels

I have just bought a set of original Wolfrace wheels without tyres (except the spare). The spare has a 185/60 tyre on it and this seems to clear the arches OK. However, I want to preserve the classic look of the car (and the gearing) so I want to use 185/70 tyres but I'm concerned they may rub.

Can anyone with a set of Wolfies help me with some feedback please?

Hi Nick,

I use a set of 1982 Wolfies (slot mags) on my racer, 185/60 on them. You should have no problems as the profile doesn't affect the width.

However, you may want to conisder switching to short halfshafts on the back as that I where I'd expect the problem to be if any.

  I run 1850/60s at the back and 175s at the front on a 6" wheel on a 1500 and that works well. I can let you have a couple of nearly new (500 miles) Goodyear NCT3s in a 185/60 14 for Â£20 each if that's any use to you.
