I have seen a number of cars where the rocker cover breather hoses have been removed and a sort of air filter added. The entry point to the carb is then
blocked. Apart from giving a neater looking engine - what (if any) benefits and drawbacks are there to this? Does anyone have direct experience and is it
legal for the MOT?
Cheers

Stephen,
If the car can meet its emmissions test with such aparatus fitted, then it is legal for the MOT.
Only cars from August 1975 onwards had to meet anything other than a visual smoke test.
