Oooh! A used Delorto 45 has come into my posession. I intend to fit it to my 1300 MkIV and wondered if anyone out there had experience, good or bad, to
share on the fitting of this carb or its Weber equivalent. I have no idea how it's currently set up but an hoping it will give a bit more oomph!

The first thing to do is find the correct manifold for it. Then you should strip it down a give it a thorough cleaning - while your at it you may want
to give it a service and check all the 'action'. Make a note of all the venturi, jets, emulsifyers and check the float isn't punctured.
Then what spec is your current engine - any modifications... filters, exhaust etc and we can strat to suggest jet sizes etc etc to get you going.

I'll be getting a crossover manifold (TT10549) from the current Moss catalogue and will use the slim 45MM K&N filter they recommend for that
length of manifold. Apart from that the engine is bog standard 1300. When pennies allow I will replace the standard exhaust and manifold for a
sports exhaust, but not yet!
