I've recently acquired a set of Dellorto carbs and manifolds for my 1500. (see picture) Mmmm...
Some questions for anyone who has Webers or Dellortos already fitted to a 1500:
1) How do you deal with the hoses that used to route hot water through the inlet manifold?
Do I have to run a new hose replacing the section that went through the manifold, or can this be blanked off at each end without affecting the circulation
of coolant?
2) How do you connect the vacuum advance into the manifold? Or should I switch to a dizzy without vacuum advance?
NB: this car is being built for exciting road driving, not for screaming round the track at 7000 RPM !
3) What should I do with the rocker cover breather? This is currently connected to both SU's via a T-piece and hoses. Should I try to connect it in some
way to air-filter side of the Dellortos?
