Hi Lindsay,
Any conclusions yet? Reason why I'm askin is that last week I noticed that I was getting more petrol "whiffs" than normal and thought I would
invest in a pair of these jets just in case. (I had to replace a lost lower middle manifold clamp and nut anyway and that's best done by taking the
carbs off!). Anyway after undoing the nuts for the carbs and then having both carbs, the 2 connecting rods and an alloy heatshield deposit
themselves at my feet

I noticed that the fuel smell was maybe coming from the join between the
float chamber lids and the float chambers! Doh! Tightened up said bolts and no more probs! So, I now have a brand new pair of Grose jets but if
there's no advantage in fitting them I guess they'll just stay in the bag!
On a slightly different subject, having fitted a new sports coil, re-fitted a new manifold clamp and tightened up those float chamber lids - I now
have a spit that accelerates through the rev range and doesn't back off anymore at the high end of the rev range (faulty coil!), has no more
backfiring on deceleration under load (air leaks in manifold?)and no more smelly fumes!! (float chamber lids!)
