Hi, just want to check something. Would this tubular manifold from a MG Midget 1500 fit on my spitfire 1500? I'm thinking it will.

Having recently fitted a Sports Car supplies manifold it looks very similar although I'm no expert. However, what I would add is that I had extreme
difficulty ensuring a tight joint at the 2 to 1 section. There is very little room for clamps/u bolts and I discovered that, with the carbs off, I
could remove and refit the 2 sections you show as one unit. I therfore took a gamble and had them welded with a satisfactory result.

Hi Ben
It will certainly fit at the cylinder head end, but you may have problems at the other end. I don't know how the exhaust is routed on a Midget, but on
the Spitfire it has to fit between the sump and the right-hand chassis rail (on the 1500 there is a slight modification to the chassis here to allow a
little more clearance than on earlier models) and then under and slightly to the right of centre below the gearbox, and then centrally down the car,
below the prop shaft.
