I don't suppost anyone has some good tips on splitting a stainless manifold from a stainless exhaust do they?
I've already had to take the inlet manifold off, which is annoying and now think dropping the whole lot onto the floow might be easiest.
Currently I'm cursing the garage who fitted the exhause system for using metric brackets. I mean, what Triumph owner actually has a 13mm spanner!
Sadly this one doesn't

Mark,
I had to separate the s/smanifold from the s/s exhaust a couple of weeks ago in order to change the propshaft. Fortunately, it came off very easily and
it hadn't been touched for nearly 4 years!
I'm not sure why you're having problems with yours?? You could try running the engine for a few minutes in order to warm the exhaust up and see if that
helps?

Hmm, sounds odd, I just had to split my mild steel manifold from my stainless system and it wouldnt budge. It was connected to the stainless part
by a stainless connector sleeve. I then undid the clamp on the ss to ss part (rather than mild to stainless) and it came straight off. Have you
tried splaying the end 'cuts' slightly with a screwdriver?
