Have just removed the "go faster" steering wheel and replaced with original and am having trouble getting the horn to work consistently. Anyone have ideas
about how to make the bloody thing work every time?

It's probably a poor contatct on the 'pencil' thingy. Try polishing the brass ends with a bit of wire wool or emery paper. Also try gently pulling on
the brass tips to extend the spring slightly thereby giving a stronger contact. Are you sure you haven't disturbed the earth connection that bridges
the steering column joint? You could try running a makeshift earth direct to the batttery as a test.

I think I have covered your suggestions except to try a temporary earth as a check. Thanks for the response.
