Earlier message.
My nearly restored spitfire (LVP 95P) 1500, has developed an interesting electrical fault. The middle fuse (Main lights front and back, dash
lights, indicators and side lights, correct me if I am wrong) keeps blowing as soon as I try and switch the lights on. I have disconnected the front and
rear lights, sidelights and indicators but the problem remains. As far as I can see all earths and wires are sound.
New update.
Since posting this earlier I have tried changing the light switch and all other suggested ideas to no avail. I have a feeling that the problem is in the
fuse box itself as I gather this is a weak spot ( It certainly looks cheap and nasty) I am considering disconecting the feed wire (red and green) runing it
through an inline fuse and then connecting it to the two existing wires and fusing them also. Any thoughts or is this a bodge too far?
With thanks

Hi Robert
Have you tried changing the main switch in the dash
You could also try disconnecting the main/dip on the column stalk, This would assist in the elimination of the problem
Cheers
