Hi
We are taking the Spit out to Norway next week and need to adapt the beam on the headlights. Went and bought a kit from Halfords but instructions do not
cover Triumphs!! Can any one advise how we should use the kit or let us know where we can get a suitable kit?
Cheers.

Same as any single beam type lamp/lense.
With the lamp facing you place the convertors in the middle verticaly and to the left off the lamps centre point. The idea being that the convertors
block the reflected light that is usually directed leftwards into the curb when driving over here.
For the Le Mans trip last week, tons of people (including myself) used insulation tape. I looked for a diagram for you but didn't have any luck :/

Any kit for 7" round headlamps will do.
What they do is blank out the beam deflecting part of the lens, normally easy to spot as it is shaped like a cut off triangle with steps on the
hypotenuse.
The kits have various markings to suit the shape of the triangle. If it hasn't got a Triumph one make up a template from your headlamp, they are both
the same incidentally, and cut it out and stick over your triangle.
If you are travelling to the ferry port at night its best to wait until you get there as the converters don't convert they cut of the dip beam pattern
to the kerb (left) so that it doesn't dazzle drivers when you are driving on the right.
I have done this with black adhesive / insulation tape in the past (70's) but was told afterwards that I shouldn't have done because it could have
damaged my halogen bulbs but I don't know if this is true.
Hope this helps.

How much did you pay?
Bet is was £7ish?
When you can do EXACTLY the same with a roll of insulating tape - you can even make it colour coordinated (sort of)
Cost? Fractions of a penny.
All the kit or tape does is block off the prisms in the lens that throw light to the left.
The lights then point stright ahead.
Here's a pic of Vin's Blinged Banana, taped up for Le Mans.
Voila!
