The switch, I think, for my lights went bang the other day - resulting in mucho destruction.

Anyone got any thoughts on this, besides "bugger"...?
Time to replace the brand new loom with a new one?

Erm - "Whoops"????? is first reaction JC!!!
You sure it's the light switch that caused that carnage or was it a "meltdown" waiting to happen somehwere else in the loom that was triggered by
operating the light switch??

Bloody Hell James, was you struck by lightning?? What were you using for a fuse? The proverbial 6 inch nail? (snigger) Somats went to earth in a big
way there so I think your battery and alternator have passed the test. Could be the main light switch, dip switch on the column, or a short in the
loom. Either way I suspect your gonna have to check the loom for damage to other circuits...tut...the things some folks will do to incapacitate their
cars just before....no I've said too much already......

Given that a large part of your loom seems to have melted, a new one is probably the answer.
Of course you could always invent a minty-loom-o-matic version using modern wires (half the size for twice the current) and proper fuses. That way your
tendancy to add on extra gadgets won't result in another meltdown...
