Hi folks,
the indicator switch on my 1500 spit seem to have given up the ghost. The full beam forward and backward motion still works fine but the indicators refuse
to come on, they will cancel after the wheel is turned back after the corner. The hazards work fine though. Any ideas?

Open up the cowling and find the two electrical contacts... use something abrasive to clean them up and then a squirt of WD40...
At least I think thats how I fixed mine... though I might be thinking of the lights...

Hi Jessica, mine packed up in roughly the same way except it also began to smoke when I flashed the headlights..scared me into changing it. New
ones are silly money so found one on e-bay almost straight away for around 15 quid. Easy to change, screwdriver and 3 plasters.

I've cleaned the switch, or what I could get to, but now the hazards won't work but the indicators will if I'm nice to them. I was going to
take the switch off but can't remove the steering wheel, it's one of the black rubber ones that has the silver triumph badge inlaid in the
front. Any ideas? could it be my flasher unit (which was replaced this time last year) or my earths?

Hi Jessica. You should be able to remove the switchgear without removing the steering wheel. You need to remove the upper and lower black
plastic cowlings behind the steering wheel. Should be 2 or 3 screws in recessed holes underneath the bottom half. From there you should see
the switch is held on by a metal half circle band and screws top and bottom. The multi connecter is down the bottom somewhere. Follow the
wires to find it! Don't forget to disconnect your battery before firklin' around.
Hopefully you will have more advice from the others as soon as they have finished their meals/beer/dog walk or whatever it is they get up
to this time of afternoon.
Best of luck
Phil.
