Wiper arms get stuck

Hi,
Could be the motor has passed its use by date, does it spin okay if you fold the arms away from the windscreen. Maybe the brushes are worn down.
You could remove the motor and the drive cable by undoing the nut holding the pipe that disappears through the bulkhead and pulling it out gently. (remembering to remove the arms first, the cable may need greasing, also the spindles might be sticking)
There could also be something catching in the motor drive box.

My first though would be to clean the 'worm' drive. Pull the cable and give it a good DW40(ing) and a scrub!
Then a little lite oil (3-in-1) and replace - you may be surprised
