Having just bought my first Spit to restore I have come across a bit of a problem. The beastie (a '76 1500) came with the indicator stalk missing so I
replaced it only to find some nice chap had also removed the relay. No problem - I'll replace that too, ah but the hazards don't work either.
When I checked Rimmers for the relays I find that there are two, but my trusty Haynes manual says there is only one.
Who is right and which one is it?
Commission number on car is FH85846 if that's any help.
Thanks Jon

Can't say what relay you need, but my 1500 had a problem with its winkies, wiggle the hazard pull out switch... worked wonders on mine.

Mine are a bit dodgy at the moment too, I thinks it's the earth though. Stupid damp weather, old cars etc.. However in trying to cure the problem I
have replaced the flasher unit. There are two separate units, one for hazards and one for indicators. Mine are (a 1977 1500) behind the heater
controls, and between the tachometer and rev counter stuck to the dash. Both can be reached without removing the dash pannels. Hope this helps!

Just cured this problem on mine after 3 year lay up. Definitely an earth problem. Try throughly cleaning all bulbs/holders and earthing
connections.

Had a similar problem on my daily used 1500. The back indicators would stay on (not winking) and the fronts not work at all. It turn out to a corroded
bullit connector from front lamp to main wiring loom.
