Hi, any advice here would be greatly appreciated, but how do you stick the plastic finishing strip on on the inside of the top of the door, you know the
ones that are really expensive, in the past I have tried contact glue but it always seems messy, is there some sort of spray adhesive that can be used and
won't eat into the plastic?
Thanks

I used to use a product called Fast Tac, made by 3M it's an aerosol trim adhesive made for the Automotive refinishing trade. I'm not sure if it's still
around now as it was over 25 years since I was "on the hammers" but I'm sure that there'll be a modern equivalent if it has gone. Your best bet would
be to visit a Motor Factors, a trade supplier of paint and bodyshop materials (yellow pages, good place to look) and ask their help. I am unsure of how
this part was originally attached, whether it just tucked under a window rubber seal at the top and the door trim at the bottom or whether it was
glued, but in my days of working in a BL bodyshop, we just glued 'em on!
