Hi, just wondering, were Spitfires sold with no centre arm rest and tunnel cover. I thought that they were missing from my car but it occured to me they
might never have been fitted? Car is a 1972 (Dec '72)

Your car is correct in not having them as far as I know they were never fitted to MKIV's (not sure about the post '73 facelift models though). They
were a feature on 1500's definately.

Thanks Ian, I am going to put some in anyway, got used to them in the GT6. That's some more parts for the Stoneleigh list.
The thing that threw me was the knee pads are in my car, but I can imagine these were fitted to all models as they finish off the H frame.
Regards, Steve.

I have always found the arm rests to be a pain.
Don't forget that there was a change of vinyl for the interiors during the Mk4 production, from fine grain to 'Stag' grain I think.
Subtle difference, but enough to give the anally retentive something to point out to you.
Cheers
Colin

Oh, good, I always look forward to a nice chat with the anally retentive! Just ordered re-cover kits in smooth grain from Park Lane
classics, I do hope they are the wrong type.
Steve.

I think the knee pads are additions too.

The knee pads were fitted to all MKIV's, but the tunnel cover and arm rest were not fitted to the early MKIV's
