I'm rebuilding the offside front suspension at the moment and fitted the new front coil spring to the new front shock absorber (using the TSSC spring
compressor).
The spring is slightly bowed, is there any reason for this?
I checked the old spring on the nearside which is still attached to the car and that is bowed too.
Are they supposed to be like that?
Have I done it up with too much compression or loosed the spring compressor too quickly.
The spring is sitting level on the shock and on the mounting plate but is definitely slightly bowed!

I have new springs on mine and they are slightly bowed but have not had a problem with them.alan

Figured it out, I'd put too much tension on them. When I moved the locking nuts closer to the top of the shock, it reduced the bowing.
As you say Alan, there's still a slight bow but not anything to worry about.
