I tried fitting some new shocks and springs to my Spitfire, and think I've got things the wrong way round.
Firstly, the rate adjustment at the base of the damper, I originally set most anti-clockwise thinking that was the softest, but I have found a picture on
the web which may suggest most clockwise is the softest setting, is this correct.
Also, is to have the height adjusters screwed down to the lower of the shock the way to lower the car?
How do you adjust the height while on the car, is this possible? If so how?
Cheers
Martin

Since Spax do not have a tel no. on their web site I faxed them, and got a helpfull return phone call.
The rate adjustment is anti-clockwise for a softer setting.
The base spring plate for a Spitfire covers the adjustment nut for changing the height while on the car, which is tough! Oh well.
