Wheels/tyres/springs and dampers

This crosses a couple of forums, but I guess this is the best one to post it in.

I'm planning some upgrades to my '73 Spitfire (wide track) suspension, and trying to work out which combination will work and which will bash the body work on every bump and stop me turning the front wheels!

What I want to do is:
1) Replace steel wheels with Dolly Sprint Alloy's
2) Fit Spax ride adjustable shocks all round
3) Fit uprated springs

My questions are:
1) What size tyres for those alloy wheels (given the other mods)?
2) What front springs to go for - just uprated or uprated and shorter, and if so how much shorter (given wheel/tyre mods)?
3) Rear spring - just a fresh one, or a changed camber one (again, given the mods to the front springs, wheers and tyres!)?

Mark
