About five years ago SPAX were suffering a quality control problem - hence the bad press. But this seems to have mostly been
overcome.
I use SPAX all round on my racer and when I bought the rears (second hand) I had a problem with one of the adjusters. After speaking
with SPAX, they offered to re-condition them for me. I posted them off and within a week they were back. The whole thing costs me
&163;15 including postage (which they payed for) - so I can't really say anything against them as a company.
Now everyone will have a different opinion as to which is best GAZ are cheapest (and for good reason), SPAX are next followed by AVO,
Koni and Munroe. They all do the same job! If I were you I wouldn't bother with spring seat adjustable shocks though - they are about
&163;60-70 more than just rate adjustable and you can adjust the ride height with spring spacers - &194;&163;15 a set.
Also, a small point - each make of shock has a different height for the spring seat, so don't assume the ride height difference until
you get your shocks on and can measure what size spring spacers you need.
