Guess what I've just done. Renewed the N/S drive shaft in my Spit assembled it all bled the brakes, great. Was clearing up after a job well done when I
noticed a little plastic bag that the trunnion bush kit came in. Inside was the BLOODY WATER SHIELD AND RUBBER RING ARGHHHH!!!!. Does any one know the best
way to get the sleeve and bush out of the hub carrier please? Preferably without removing the shaft. Thank You.
Lesson: Don't work on your car after going out on the lash the previous night, or when tired.

Hi,
Undo the lower shock mount and detach shock, undo radius arm from vertical link, slacken off spring eye nut, remove bearing housing to vertical link
bolt. you should now be able to pivot the vertical link back to expose the trunnion bush. Drift out the steel sleeve with a suitable size drift, if the
plastic sleeves are anything like the ones on my GT6 they will not quite meet in the middle of the bearing housing leaving a groove. I find I can get a
flat bladed screwdriver against the edge of the plastic bush and gently tap it out using a mallet. Rotate the blade round the sleeve edge to keep it
square and to minmise damage. Some damage to the sleeve will be inevitable but if you are careful with the mallet it should be minimal. Any bits of
plastic protruding can be trimmed with a knife. Hope this is of some use.

Well, I thought it would have been a lot more difficult than that, with hardly any damage at all to the plastic bushes, brilliant! Cheers Andy. In
my mind I had the whole rear end apart and the infernal thing on the damn bench again. Just the other side to do now (yes, I remember assembling
the water shield and seal on that one wrong now as well!!)
