Its time to replace the diff on our recently purchased 1500 spit. We knew it was on its last legs when we bought the car.
However, theres a great deal of variation in costs between suppliers and as always there seems to be some debate over which supplier provides the right
quality at the right price
Anyone out there recently purchased a recon unit? If so did you go for the cheapest you could find or bought on advice from others?
No surprise here but it looks like Rimmers are the most expensive and Canleys are the cheapest. Anyone have an opinions on whether theres any difference in
the build quality and durability?
Its a big chunk of money and i only want to do it once and get it right the first time so any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks - Andy

There's next to no good used crown wheel and pinion sets around now but it's best to ask EXACTLY what goes into the diff. I've watched Dave Pearson
build a diff at Canleys and seen what goes in - nice new shiny bits. Who knows who builds Rimmers but I doubt they are using anything but new gears.
