Hi
Replacing the UJ on the propshaft and wanted to whip off the prop to make life easier. Its the first time i have had a look at a pot type and have a few
questions
As yet i haven't removed the prop from the overdrive end but If i grab the shaft i can slide it back into the pot two or three inches - is this normal?
What am i looking for in terms of wear?
I can just about see a bearing in there - looks like a CV type joint???
Also - should there be a rubber boot or seal that fastens to the pot and then onto the main part of the shaft to keep the crap out of the pot and
bearing???
Thanks - Andy

Yes on the movement, my pot joint is the same, and yes I'm sur (95%) that there is a cover on it.
Don't know about the wear though. I'd have thought all okay as long as you cannot rotate the two parts of the shaft in relation to each other when they
are in the running position.

Thanks Mark
It looks like mine has a boot missing from the shaft as the theres a nice big gap between the pot and the shaft with a piece of twisted wire on the
shaft which im guessing once held the boot in place?
