Hi,
I need help - I've replaced the clutch, and want to replace the the release bearing as well - I've removed the release arm from the bell housing but can't
work out how to get the old bearing out. The workshop manual helpfully says "remove the release bearing"!
Can anyone shed some light on this - I'm desperate to get my gearbox back on the car!
Cheers

I can't remember how a Triumph is pu together but other cars I've worked on the bearing simply slides up the shaft as you actuate the arm. If it won't
come off easily it's probably siezed through damage or lack of use so try putting plenty of oil on the shaft and pull a bit harder!!

Steve,
You have to remove the two pegs in the bottom and top of the release fork, then the bearing will drop out.

There are two small pins which hold the release bearing carrier onto the release arm itself. Once removed the round carrier will come out. You then
have to press the bearing off the carrier with a suitable sized tube or socket in a vice and press the new one back on. Thats for a single rail box
anyway. Simple enough in theory!
