The best Paris video by far is the Paris Peripherique one on the motorcycle.

For the Paris Rendezvous video in the Ferrari, the average speed is only 43MPH.

Surely though with driving its not just about speed? Its about the experience, the sound, etc. I mean granted I have a good set of speakers plugged into my computer, but when you turn the sound up to watch the Ferrari drive through Paris it really moves you. You feel it, you feel the excitment, and the guy lives to do it another day!
When I watch the biker guy I just wince! The biker is faster, yes, but is clearly an excellent candidate for a Darwin Award!
(Darwin's are awarded to people who have made the gene pool a better place by killing themselves, usually in stupid ways!! According to other forums etc. I've read, apparently this biker was killed a few weeks later doing the same stunt again!)
In my view there is a fine line between fast, fun driving and blatant stupidity!-

you fail to understand that mororcyclists aren't normal in the first place, there are some fields of human endeavour that most normal humans can't understand or enter.
eg, motorcycling, rock climbing, cave diving, base jumping, skydiving, whitewater canoeing, ultramarathon running, space flight, snake charming, lion taming... need i go on?
such films aren't made as invitations for anyone to come try, they are warnings that only the few are good enough, everyone else stand back and watch.
If the rider in question did indeed die, I salute him, but I wouldn't try that myself.

Lelouche kept his drivers name secret, and even claimed that he drove. I've read that, sad to say, the driver did die shortly after, in a race crash, but I can't find the 'Net reference now.
He was asked how he drove so fast through the streets, and replied that he never touched the brakes. Watch the video again and you'll see and hear that he is, mostly, right.

When you start bitching and moaning about the speed in videos on the internet, sorry, but you really need either the pole removing from your spine, or a course of testosterone enhancement.
We have been mentally corrupted by years of social sterilisation into being born into and cradled by cottenwool for our entire lives, we constantly overrate our own importance thesedays, we are just organic matter like everything else ? So a few bikers die riding fast and getting real kicks with real risks, in the process they dent a few SUV's, who cares, the world needs daredevils cause spineless whiners are very boring, when these "stupid" bikers die, the world still goes round and round....just like it will after your die, probably of boredom at 110years of age....

Your right, I fail to understand the sheer arrogance and selfishness of these sorts of people who, to get their kicks, are prepared to put other road users in danger. If its a clear road then ok, but to ride at such stupid speeds through traffic means that if you make a mistake you are more likely to cause harm to someone else during your accident.
Choosing to do something dangerous is fine, but don't put other peoples lives at risk as well, that's my point.

Everything you mention here does not involve putting innocent bystanders at risk. It is a risk taken by you, and if it goes wrong then, pretty much, its only you that gets hurt. Hurtling along public roads in rush hour is not just a risk to you and, in my view, is the height of arrogance, selfishness, and sheer stupidity. You might hold your life in scant regard just to get a buzz, but don't put mine at risk while you do it!! (Not you personally, I'm talking in the third person here.)
No I'm not a Daily Mail reader!! If I was I'd have mentioned something about house prices during my rant!!
Anyway I'll get off my soapbox now! I'm off to have a blast down my fave country roads...
...safely, and considering fellow road users...
...as I blast past them!!

Hmmm, true. I need to hold in my feelings more perhaps. When it comes to motor bikes speeding through traffic I am biased as a good friend of mine was very seriously hurt that way and he admitted he felt a bit invincible beforehand.
The fast drive in the car early in the morning when no-one was around on the peripherique I don't have a problem with. Damn good video, good fun, and no danger to other road users because there weren't any, well hardly any! Everyones a winner!
