Hi all...
just insured my racecar... in its garage, to and from the circuit, and in the paddock.
Just not on the circuit !
&163;87 a year
Does that sound good ? (it sounded fab to me) Do you guys have yours insured ?
Footman James again.
Dave.

In 2000 I insured my racer for all this and on road too for about &163;130. Be careful with the small print on your policy and make sure they
will give you the replacement value of the car rather than market value.
Also do they have a full list of the modifications made to the car? It can be quite tricky insuring race cars, but there are specialist companies...
e.g. Egger Lawson.
Oh and BTW don't forget to insure your trailer too.

and thats not with any on the road cover either.
they are prepared for a rebuild value of &163;10,000 though.
To/From/Paddock
Fire/Theft/Malicious/Accidental
I'll have to see what FJ smallprint says

Thats cheaper than I thought it'd be...
But I can vouch for the quality of cover from Egger Lawson - they really know their stuff and fight on your side.
And they cover the rebuild costs - not market value. Which is always good...

Eggar Lawson wouldn't insure mine as it's not garaged, they did however put me in touch with someone who would.
Trailer, car, tools, helmet, overalls etc. are included and it's about &163;150 odd pounds a year.
The only thing is I can't remember the company (and I've got their stickers on my car - doh!) but I do have contact details if anyone is
interested I can dig them out.
Cheers,
Richy
