Hi all..
Next year I'd love to do one of those 2 driver races, and one of my mates is looking at doing an Ards specifically so he can join me in one.
Now, he'll buy his own helmet, gloves, boots etc etc.
BUT,.. a race suit for one or two races is a bit of a stretch.
Anyone have a lend or cheap sell race suit for an average sized chap ??
please help..

Yes - I have a spare 3 layer Nomex suit for sale - suit someone up to about 5'11". Call me 01582 882795.

Considering the amount one sweats into a three-layer suit, and echoing the author of a certain "How to race your Triumph Spitfire" book when
writing about buying second hand race clothing, all I can say is:
"Yuck"

I think he'd wear anything for the chance to get to drive a Triumph in a race John.
Its another of those cases, where what becomes the norm to some.. is another persons unbelievable dream !
Bit like owning a spitfire to start with... let alone a racing one !!
I remember having a go of a D Type jag once..
A dream I had had since childhood... had to spend all day pinching myself.. then found that some people manage to race 'em 10 times a year
!!!
