  I read that thread the other day. My insurer (for the van, not the truck) noted that I'd written "towing a racecar to and from the circuit" under the "what will the vehicle be used for" section of the form and rang me to check that this meant that it would be in the paddock rather than actually racing. I assured them that the van would not be actually raced (!) and they were quite happy.
