  Does the actual car have to be pre 1967 or the model available pre 1967. ie my car is a 1970 Mk3 but as Spits were around before 67 could I play. What is the level of originality? with some nifty ringing work mine could externally appear to be a Mk2 Spit within a couple of hours
  
  Seriously though, Paul Lucas's car originates as a Mk2 Spit though I'm pretty sure it now has a Mk3 engine.

    The problem with the Goodwood Revival is that every single car is proper posh and period... it seems to be as much period aesthetics as period legibility...
    
    I'm not sure how they'd take to something like Andy's open top Spit with it's modern Compomotives... it doesnt quite match in with every other car that races there over the weekend.
    
    Would be great to see some Triumphs out there though - all the ones in recent years have been rather sloowwwwww...

      I'm inclined to think that James is right. At the revival they use period tools etc. as well - not sure us lot turning up with our halfords trolley jacks, assorted modern tow-vehicles, chainsaws and crates of lager would be in keeping.
      
      I also thought it was invitation only and invites only extend to cars that have actual racing heritige, although I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong

        Sorry, I know nothing about the Goodwood except what I can read on their website, which says just pre-1967 - http://www.goodwood.co.uk/revival/ . I fear the exclusiveness is part of the package, like the old Brooklands motto, "The right crowd and no crowding".
        I just wondered if anyone could claim - original V5 or whatever - that their car was pre-1967. If so, and a Triumph race was to happen, they should not be excluded. However, compare your memory of the usual paddock at a TSSC/TRR race meeting with the 'Goodwood Brochure' ( http://www.goodwood.co.uk/PDF/GoodwoodBrochure.pdf ) especially pp 46 and 56. We're their worst nightmare.
