Enough of this single column nonsense!
My thanks to all at Silverstone who put up with my senior moments. Okay, fess up. Mr.Gibbins had arrived and I was talking to him and his lovely
lady wife, when he reminded me that I, "had some work to do". It was, er, zip work. And then, the Race. You don't get far on half a litre of fuel,
and I didn't. I saw the gauge reading zero in the assembly area. and only thought, "Lucky I ve got a spare gauge at home"!
But apologies for not turning out for Cadwell. Almost my favourite course, but two days before the Le Mans trip is trying the patience and
forebearance of the gods just a liitle too much. They had fun with me at the 'Stone - it could be vengance next time.
See y'all at Brands.

while I have a car with some new mechanical bits..
(not so as you would have noticed though)
I am also aware of what other mechnical bits it now needs..
couple that with the fact that my pockets are now almost empty, and I think I can just about afford one more meeting this year.
(and thats because I can't see the point of running it without the new mechanical bits)
I would absolutely love to bring my car along and race it at every meeting.. but its the depth of my pockets.. not my willingness to race thats
the problem.. for me its not even a time issue.. its money..
btw..
don't ever leave your license 250 miles away from the track
the MSA charge you &163;40 for a 1 minute phonecall to confirm that you have a license.
they look it up on the screen.. confirm it exists.. and then you write a cheque out for &163;40 payable to the MSA.
to be fair, the advice given to me during the call to the licensing dept on the Tuesday to tell them that I could drive back up to yorkshire to
get it if I had to, and what should I do.. ? was free..
the advice was.. we'll charge you &163;40 to confirm it exists.. your petrol will be more than that.
