All,
If you think you had the 'Ring nailed, have a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M11GOVfA50&search=...
A lap of the 'Ring in a Porsche 956, with Derek Bell driving and with his commentary.
No date, but it's a few years ago, looking at the state of the trees.
The corners are the same, but it's a different 'Ring at up to 170mph!

1982 I think, I have the race on video, last FIA even at the Ring, hense ALL the big names were there. Rosberg, Ickx, Mass, etc etc, no more FIA events
after this date.
The track maybe the same direction wise, but its a mear shadow of its former challenge now, they have shaved the FlugPlutz and Phlantzgarten off loads
to stop cars flipping (bellof flipped at the Phlantzgarten2 in that race), the bumps have all gone and surface is much better. It gets tamer every year
I go, which is a shame to some extent, there are many corners now that are very easy flat out where 4years ago the bumps would have sorted the men from
the boys.
