Barry,
I agree entirely what you say about the 1300's and nearly everyone else agrees that 1300's are the most suitable for racing. But I'm a 1500 owner and enjoy
the car as my daily driver. I suppose it's because of that and the lack of 1500's on the race circuit that I've decided to "do it" with a 1500! I think
I've heard all the pro's and con's for a 1500 but hey - just wanna enjoy myself and learn about racin before I draw my pension! That's why I'm going to
start in Class A as well. Once (and if!) I get the hang of this club racing and experience and knowledge of the circuits etc in a Class A car, then I might
consider Class C and change but that's gonna be a long way off!!
Regards
Chris

P.S. I started a new thread cos didn't want to diverse from the original topic about performance etc!!

When we raced in Zandvoort there was a German gentleman Harold Hummel who raced a 1500 to great effect with performance matching Jon Wolfe's car at the
time. Though I seem to remember Jon saying that he felt his own 1300 was more powerful but the 1500 went round bends on rails. I think they won a race
each.
So it can be done.
Cheers

Yes, I had two races with Harald at Zandvoort, 1st time (1999) he beat me by a very small margin, his car's cornering ability was excellent with
7J13 wheels and 205/50 Hoosier race tyres. Second time (2000) I beat him by a country mile.
