Turn Left for Tanger HELP

Almost twent years ago I used to own a herald 13/60 convertible (reg. 61-88-GR , chassisno.GE 34754 LCV, white 1969) restored by a friend of ours Frans Smeets. He and his wife Connie used to own quit some different Triumphs and all in excellent shape. In those days (1984!) I was member of the Club Triumph Holland (as well as the TSSC) and obtained a copy of a film called Turn Left to Tanger from the BMIHT. Fascinating report on an epic journey with two heralds through Africa. I also was the proud owner a book regarding the same journey but in those days I borrowed both out to someone and never saw them since! In the mean time twenty years later I am again infected by the Triumph bug and bought a Vitesse Conv.MkII 1970 which is currently being restored. I have two questions:
1.Is there anybody out there who can still remeber borrowing my video and book? If so I would be very pleased to get them back!
2. What has become of the White herald?

Both issues are a long shot but who knows......

  Hi Joep,
  The film titled "A New Experience in Motoring" is included in a BMIHT video released in the last couple of years. The book "Turn Left for Tangier" by Richard Benstead Smith is harder to find, but there have been a couple of copies on ebay in the last few months, priced from about &163;25.00 upwards. They sometimes turn up through Amazon and Adebooks http://dogbert.abebooks.com/abe/BookSearch
  at prices much lower than ebay.

    Don't pay big money for the book, I paid &163;11.00 including postage from a vendor in Adebooks and that was after I was out bid on an eBay copy that subsequently went for nearly &163;30. Also, don't forget www.amazon.co.uk for used books, you can set up a pre-order and tell them that you're prepared to pay &163;x for one when it comes up - very useful.

      If a copy of the book sold for nearly &163;30 on Ebay,maybe I should advertise one of my copies!!

        There was one copy a few months ago which went at over &163;40......
        The most I've ever paid was &163;12 I think,
